Delhi :- A layer of smog blanketed the capital AQI 333

New Delhi: As winter arrives, Delhi faces dangerously high air pollution levels. This raises concerns among health experts, environmental groups, and government agencies. The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) has frequently fallen into the “very poor” and “severe” categories. This situation puts residents, particularly children and the elderly, at serious health risk.

Pollution-monitoring agencies say the toxic haze comes from a mix of vehicle emissions, industrial smoke, construction dust, and winter weather conditions. This issue is made worse by the yearly practice of burning crop stubble in nearby states.
